Hege Riise and Rhian Wilkinson will be managing England womne's team

. According to reports,

Hege Riise

and

Rhian Wilkinson

have been appointed to manage the women’s team after the departure of former Manchester United defender.

They will be temporarily at charge as

Sarina Wiegman

is set to become the manager but not until September as she is currently managing the Netherlands. Riise won the World Cup with Norway in 1995.

“I'm excited about the opportunity I've been given to work with England Women,”

Riise said.

“This is a proud and ambitious team that I look forward to working with and I am confident of making a positive impact when I meet up with the squad in February."

Wilkinson, who won Bronze medals at both the 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games, said: “I am extremely thankful for the opportunity to work with such a talented group of players and staff, and it is a privilege to work alongside Hege Riise who I have already worked closely with as a player and coach.”
