Inter and Atletico Madrid want Alonso but not permanently

Mon 18 January 2021 | 16:01

The Spanish player did not even play in the FA Cup match against Morecambe last week.

No one remembers the last time

Marcos Alonso

has played for

Chelsea

as the Spanish left-back is out of favor at Stamford Bridge. Reports suggest that Chelsea have not received any formal offer for the player. However, it is likely that Chelsea accept offers for the player if they receive one.

Atletico Madrid

and

Inter

are linked with a move for the player but there are multiple reasons which holds them back to offer a formal bid. Frank Lampard doesn’t believe in the player anymore and want him gone permanently, however the clubs who are interested would only sign him with a loan deal.

Another reason for his lockdown in Chelsea is that the player is getting an arguably high amount of salary from the Blues of London which also prove problematic for clubs who want him. He also has contract with Chelsea until 2023 as hie signed a five-year contract in 2018.
