The poor results of the Reds continued with today's draw against Manchester United
failed to score in today's game against Manchester United, recording the weakest goal-scoring run since March 2005.
Klopp's side at Anfield hosted Manchester United, who are third in the table with 3 points difference, and needed to win today's game to regain the top of the table. However, at the end of the game, neither team managed to score and the points were divided between the two teams.
The defending champions are now third with 18 games behind Manchester United and Leicester City. With a goalless draw today, the Reds became the third defending champions after 1998-99 Arsenal and 2016-17 Leicester, who have failed to score in three consecutive games.
Liverpool have not won in their last four games and have scored only one goal. Following a 7-0 win over Crystal Palace on 19 December, the Klopp's side have drawn 1-1 against West Brom, a goalless draw against Newcastle, a 1-0 defeat to Southampton and a goalless draw against United. This is the first time since March 2005 that Liverpool have failed to score in three consecutive games.
