Steven Gerrard

Ranger

's Manager, asked his side' players to stay focused only on the prize as he knows title talks will be growing in the upcoming weeks.

The 40-year-old said:

“It’s going to be a challenge because the reality is there are big prizes to play for.

“It’s impossible not to realize where we are as a group and what’s at stake. But it’s important that we stay focused and don’t get ahead of ourselves and stay focused on each challenge.

“That’s where we are trying to keep the boys in terms of their thinking and the preparation.

“After a fantastic win no-one’s getting too high and if we have a bump or don’t get the result we want it’s important to stay calm."

Cedric Itten

's 72' goal turned the game result into a 1-1 draw against

Motherwell

Rangers have won four games out of the last five and drew the last game.

Steven Gerrard then talked about the overall performance in the match and said that the quality "wasn’t good enough" and we blame ourselves.

He then praised Itten for his performance

:" things weren’t changing as quickly as I would have liked, so the game was crying out for a Cedric-type player. He came on and did really well.

“If he keeps providing like that I can’t ignore him for too long. I’m really pleased with his cameo today. He looked strong, lively and was a threat.

“He’s really honest and he’s never passive. In the first half too many of our players were passive so that’s what I was disappointed about.”

Graham Alexander

, Steelmen boss, believes that if the players had spotted Itten, they could have gained all three points of the game.

He said:

“The boys deserved a little bit more because of what they’ve put in. But it’s a step forward for us and another point on our tally.”
