Udinese deserved more against Sampdoria according to their boss.

Luca Gotti

says that his side deserved more against Sampdoria.

Udinese

took the lead at first but Candreva’s chipped Penalty leveled the game and then in the last minutes of the game Torregrossa changed things around with a header.

“For about 70 minutes, Udinese had a very good game and didn’t make that count as much as we could’ve done. We had still taken the lead, but until the penalty, we never got the sensation Sampdoria were dangerous,”

Gotti told DAZN

.

“What I didn’t like was the 15 minutes after the equalizer, which is when some fear came in and we allowed things we shouldn’t have, culminating in that cross for the winning goal.

“Our position in the table is not good at the moment and we were coming off a game we lost in the final minutes. I do see a psychological aspect to what happened this evening, as after the equalizer, we started to think it was all happening again, we got tense, it was palpable the change of mood.”

And about not making effective substitutions like their opponents he added:

“I am reflecting on what I could’ve done differently in that 15 minutes, but I don’t think there were many other options to make a big impact,

“De Paul has this ability to bring quality and quantity, so I try not to change the balance around him too much or move him further forward. I thought Roberto Pereyra worked very hard and I liked his performance.

“I think the only area we were missing this evening was in the final third. What we need are goals, because for those 60-70 minutes, we deserved more than being 1-0 up, in my view.”
