Marco Giampaolo said the Granata are ready for some ‘serious fun’

After losing to the Rossoneri and being eliminated from the Coppa Italia, Marco Giampaolo and his men will face Spezia tonight. Torino are 18th in the table and urgently need a win to distance themselves from the relegation zone

"

If the team faced the opponent with short arms and anxieties, it's not football,

" Giampaolo said at a press conference. "

Then you need to have another job

.

"Football is serious fun, there are no good intentions, you must be positive and proactive. You must risk something to win and look forward.

"If we always look back, we are dead."

Giampaolo expects a tough game against Spezia.

"

A team that plays football, carefree and light

," he said. "

They have fun, it's a recognisable team

.

"They play with little cognitive load; we have to prepare well.

"It's a very important match, we'll have to recover after the tour de force."

Giampaolo expects Torino players to reach the weekend with good physical condition, despite playing 120 minutes against Milan.

"In the days after the Cup, we dedicated ourselves to the recovery," he revealed. "Today, we did a few small things and then found compromise between recovery and preparation for the match.

"But we arrive well."
