Aguero forced to do self-isolation after being back from surgery

Sun 10 January 2021 | 17:23

"Unfortunately he was in contact more than usual with one person who is positive" said Guardiola after forcing him to stay self-isolated.

After being able to join

Manchester City

 matches,

Sergio Aguero

was forced to isolate himself and missed the match against Birmingham City.

He had just got relieved from his meniscus surgery after effect, but because someone close to him was infected by the virus,

Pep Guardiola

 said that he must self-isolate.

He had, however, tested negative for the coronavirus.

Guardiola said:

"Unfortunately he was in contact more than usual with one person who is positive.

"He must isolate for a few days. I don't know exactly because he has been tested like all of us six times in the last 10 to15 days so it is negative.

"Today, I think he was negative too but the protocols say in some cases isolate, and in other cases we still play football. He was not able to play today."

Gabriel Jesus

and

Kyle Walker

can return to the pitch after tested positive for coronavirus on Christmas Day.

Manchester City will have the whole club back in a few days after some players got infected by the coronavirus and the club was forced to postpone the match against Everton.
