Courtois: La Liga has to realize that we’re human

Thibaut Courtois, like Zinedine Zidane, believes last night's match against Osasuna should have been postponed.

Real Madrid were held to a goalless draw by Osasuna, with only one shot on target in 90 minutes, to be one point behind Atletico Madrid, despite having played three games more than them.

Real are second in La Liga and Barcelona are following them with three points less.

Real Madrid managed to arrive at Pamplona yesterday with a lot of difficulty and after a 4-hour delay at the Airport, to face Osasuna.

In last night’s match against Osasuna, the pitch was covered in snow and it wasn’t clear if the match was going to take place or not but finally, it was decided that the match must go on as scheduled.

Real Madrid's Belgian goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois is one of those who believes the match should have been postponed.

“We’ve been able to play, but from La Liga it’s a bit regrettable what they’ve done to us, to Rayo Vallecano and other teams,” Courtois said

“I think it was known for a long time that the storm was going to happen, and the problem is not just not being able to play, but that yesterday we had to take off with the runway half-frozen, today we can’t return home and we have to go directly to Malaga. La Liga has to realize that we’re human and that we’re not a show that always has to play.”
