Smith Rowe is the latest academy player whom Arteta is using in his starting line-up
Arsenal reached the fourth round of the FA Cup after defeating Newcastle United in the extra time. Both teams were unable to score a goal in the normal time and it almost looked like that we would expect a penalty shootout but a goal from Smith Rowe at the 109th minute changed things.
Emile Smith Rowe who is considered a regular starter for Arsenal this past few weeks have been delightful for the Gunners and Granit Xhaka has praised him.
Xhaka told Arsenal Media:
“He’s a lovely guy, a very good guy who wants to improve, he listens to us experienced players a lot and he’s so important to us.
“You can see how many balls he recovers, how many key balls he plays at the front and for the front guys as well he’s so important.
“He has to keep going like this, to improve day-by-day but he has a good mentality and that’s very important as well.”
