Sibomana dropped as Mashami picks Rwanda Chan squad

Rwanda kicks off on January 18 with a game against Uganda in the African Nation Championship.

Vincent Mashami

has announced the


squad list for the

African Nations Championship

(CHAN) in Cameroon.

Rwanda are in Group C of this tournament, where they will face

Morocco Uganda

, and



Onesme Twizerimana

of Musanze FC,

Patrick Sibomana

of Police FC, and

Ally Serumogo

of SC Kiyovu were removed from the final squad.

Rwanda held training sessions at the Amahoro national stadium in the past few weeks.

Mashami and his squad are expected to travel to Cameron on January 11. Ferwafa prepared two friendly matches for the national team against

Brazzaville Congo

. They ended the first game with a 2-2 draw and the second game will be held on Sunday at Amahoro Stadium.

Players from  AS Kigali and Rayon Sports also joined the team after being allowed to spend time in the

Caf Confederation Cup

and the

Champions League
