Leeds will face a battle with Liverpool if they want to land Argentina international Rodrigo De Paul.

Liverpool

have reportedly emerged as potential suitors for Argentina star

Rodrigo De Paul

, who has been heavily linked with

Leeds

since last summer.

Inter Milan

are also showing an interest in the 26-year-old.

The report adds that Liverpool’s interest could force Leeds to accelerate their plans to make a January bid for the £40 million-rated midfielder, although Inter could enter the competition.

Udinese do not want to let their captain leave the club and their sporting director Pierpaolo Marino said that the Pozzo family, owner of the club, never sell top players in January.

“I can confirm that he will stay (in January)",

he added.

“He will leave, if the right offers come in, next summer."

De Paul has been with Udinese since 2016 and has scored 28 goals and provided 28 assists in 163 appearances for the club. He has picked up three goals and two assists in 15 league games so far this season.
