The Korean star stays with Spurs

Thu 07 January 2021 | 11:48

Tottenham are confident in keeping their Korean star, Son Heung-min.

Tottenham

are confident their Korean star,

Son Heung-min

will accept £200,000-a-week wage as negotiations begin.

With the outbreak of the coronavirus, the negotiations on extending the contract of

Son Heung-min

and

Harry Kane

has been stopped, and this has concerned Spurs’ fans about the possible separation of these two valuable players.

But

Daily Telegraph

claimed that Tottenham executives had temporarily suspended negotiations and that they would pursue the process more seriously once the COVID-19 crisis is over.

But even in this situation, Tottenham are confident that Son will extend his contract until 2023 and agree to a 25% increase in his current weekly wage of £140,000. Of course, another reason for the delay in the negotiations is the change of the Korean star's agent, but the extension of Kane and Son's contract is the top priority for the club.

Meanwhile, it was recently stated that

Real Madrid

and

Zinedine Zidane

are very interested in signing the Korean star.

Pep Guardiola

is also seeking to sign Son, but the talented forward has no intention to leave the Spurs.

Son

has been in excellent form this season, scoring 16 goals and 8 assists in 25 games.
