Thu 07 January 2021 | 8:33

The English side are interested in the move to improve their firepower in the January transfer window.

The Eagles

were reportedly close to signing the Ivorian striker

Christian Kouame

before but they canceled their potential €20million bid due to the player’s knee injury. However, Crystal Palace could come back for the 23-year-old despite their past effort to sign the player from

Genoa

saw

Fiorentina

win the race as they signed the player on a loan spell in January 2020 with an obligation to buy.

The player has failed to score in his last 16 appearances for the club but

Corriere dello Sport

 (via

Sport Witness

) has reported four clubs that are interested in signing the Ivorian. According to

Sky Italia

, Torino and Crystal Palace are interested in a move with a fee around €15-16m but this price may go higher due to the competition between the interested clubs.

Verona

and Olympique de Marseille are among other clubs that are interested in signing Kouame as they are seeking a player who can improve their attacking lines. Roy Hodgson’s Palace have scored 22 goals in their 17 league matches as they are currently placed in the 14th place of the

Premier League

table.
