Arsenal attempts to sign Norwich star Buendia

Wed 06 January 2021 | 17:12

Arteta’s side will have a hard job bringing Buendia to London.

The

Gunners

have been looking for an opportunity to sign Norwich’s star

Emi Buendia

but the club doesn’t want to lose such an important part of the team reportedly.

Norwich has asked for £40m for Buendia and it seems to be a big number for Arteta’s side despite their interest. Arsenal has been linked with the player’s agent according to the reports but the club is apparently trying to keep their key player by giving a big number to the buyers.

Buendia has been showing his quality with scoring seven goals and assisting six which makes him one of the most important players for the Canaries.

The Gunners have three wins in a row but they are still in the bottom half of the Premier League table which makes the January movement seem essential for them but they may have to look for other options as Norwich insists that £40m is the final offer.

Norwich has sold the likes of Jamal Lewis and Ben Godfrey in the summer and they won’t face any problems with spending more money to keep their star but Arteta will need some improvements in his squad too.

The Gunners will face Newcastle in their next FA Cup match before meeting Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
