Lazio coach criticized the referees' decisions

Tue 05 January 2021 | 16:20

Despite the poor results, Inzaghi is satisfied with the performance of his team in recent weeks.

Lazio

coach Simone Inzaghi has claimed that his team has suffered a lot from refereeing in recent games.

Lazio ended 2021 with a 1-1 draw against Genoa and have won just one of their last five games. Inzaghi believes that his team has performed well during this period and should have won the games, but the refereeing decisions have affected them.

“Tomorrow we have a very important match, we are aware of that,”

Inzaghi said at a press conference.

“We come from three well-played games, but we had 15 minutes of blackout against both Milan and Genoa, which cost us a lot of points.”

Asked about Fiorentina match, Inzaghi said:

“Motivation will be needed against Fiorentina,” he continued. “In the last few games, we have also been penalised by some refereeing decisions.

“Now, it’s time to be stronger than ever. Prandelli’s team are coming from a good period and they have quality players.

“We must interpret the match in the best possible way.”
