Dele Alli unlikely to leave Tottenham in January

Tue 05 January 2021 | 12:31

The England international has been struggling for more minutes on the pitch this season and has played just four Premier League games.

The club announced they have no intention to sell or loan

Dele Alli

in the January transfer window despite being out of favor under

Mourinho

.

The 24-year-old has made only four appearances for

Spurs

in the Premier League this season and has not been on the starting line-up since the opening game against Everton.

The 24-year-old was the subject of several bids from

Paris Saint-Germain

- who have just appointed former

Tottenham

boss

Mauricio Pochettino

as their new head coach - in the summer window.

But Spurs do not want to allow Alli to leave as they continue to compete in four different competitions and will need the full squad available to fight in the compact fixture list.

The club also have injuries in positions Alli could fill, with Gareth Bale, Giovani Lo Celso, and Erik Lamela all currently unavailable.

He has picked up two goals and one assist in 11 games in all competitions.
