Borussia Dortmund's Mats Hummels has lauded 16-year-old Youssoufa Moukoko as an outstanding player amongst other youngsters he has ever played with, contrasting him with Toni Kroos, Mario Götze and Christian Pulisic

Moukoko

set the record for the youngest player ever played for a

Bundesliga

side in November, playing his senior-team debut a day after turning 16. Subsequently, he proceeded to turn into the league's most youthful scorer at 16 years and 28 days with his strike in 2-1 defeat against Union Berlin.

32-year-old Hummels has played with many youthful players, gifted ones throughout his career, and he trusts Moukoko has the right to be referenced among the best of them.

"He's already really good. I played with Toni Kroos, Mario Götze and Christian Pulisic when they were 16 or 17, and Youssoufa is definitely one of the best players I've played with at that age,"

the Germany international said.

Moukoko is only one of the numerous skilled youths at the

BVB

, and Hummels is dazzled with the mindset of his young comrades in the squad.

"When I look at the likes of Erling Haaland, Jude Bellingham and Youssoufa Moukoko, they are all young players with a lot of determination, who know what it takes to win on the pitch,"

said the seasoned Dortmund center-back.
