Michael Olunga in talks with Kashiwa Reysol for Al-Duhail SC move
Two clubs have reached an agreement over the Kenyan striker’s transfer to Qatar.

Al-Duhail. The former Gor Mahia striker won J-League’s golden boot alongside the competition’s best player award as he manage
d to score 28 goals in 32 matches for the Japanese side.
The Kenyan’s influence on Kashiwa Reysol started in the last season when he scored 27 goals for the club and helped them earn their promotion to the first division.
Olunga and his teammates had the chance to finish the season with a trophy as they participated in J-League Cup’s final on Sunday. However, they were defeated by
FC Tokyowith a 2-1 result and finished the competition as runner-ups. Weverson Leandro’s 16th-minute goal opened the scoring for Tokyo but Yusuke Segawa managed to equalize the game for Kashiwa Reysol just before half-time. However, this goal was not enough for Olunga to end his final year in Japan in style as Adaìlton da Silva scored the winner for FC Tokyo in the 74th minute. Olunga’s next club Al-Duhail are currently sitting second in Qatar Stars League with 24 points from 12 matches as they are eight points behind Al Sadd who are leading the table with 32 points.
