Darren Fletcher steps up to help the first-team coaching staff

Former Red Devils star Darren Fletcher has been offered to join Manchester United’s first-team coaching group.

Darren Fletcher

has made more than 300 first-team appearances for

Manchester United

and contributed to the club’s winning a host of honors, like five

Premier League

titles, the FA cup, as well as

Champions League

.

In 2015, he shortly left the Red Devils after 20 years of association to join West Brom. However, last October he made his way back to become the coach for the youth.

Now, Fletcher has joined the first-team to help with his services.

Ole Gunner Solskjaer, United boss, said: “

Darren has the United DNA running through his veins and he knows exactly what it takes to be a Manchester United player.

“He is at the start of his coaching career and his experience both on and off the pitch along with his winning mentality, commitment and hard work will be a great addition to the staff.”

Fletcher said: “

I am delighted to be returning to the club as a first -team coach.

“It’s a very exciting time for this young team and I am looking forward to taking the next steps in my coaching career by working with Ole and his staff.”
