The Portuguese defender was not able to become a regular starter for the Red Devils and is currently on a loan spell at San Siro.

back in summer 2018 when Jose Mourinho chose him to become a Red Devils’ defender. Dalot’s performances at Manchester United was underwhelming as the player struggled for fitness and form and has so far played only 35 matches for the Red Devils. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s decision about Dalot was to send him away on a loan deal and

Milan

were willing to sign a season-long loan contract for the player. The 21-year-old is enjoying his time with Serie A table leaders but feels that he has unfinished business back at Manchester. In a recent interview with

Record,

the player was asked whether he thinks about a return to Manchester United.

“Of course, the feeling is a little deeper, more because I didn’t have the time I liked physically.

“I had great moments at United. I played very important games for me and the team.

“I left with a bit of a bittersweet feeling for not being physically available for all those games I lost due to injury but it is what it is.

“I wouldn’t change anything because what I learned was very important for my future and how I am now. I don’t regret it or look back with disappointment.”

Dalot has played 11 matches for Milan across all competitions and feels settled in his current environment. The player wants to remain focused on the Italian side until he decides on his future at the end of the season.

“It is always positive to see the feedback from Milan fans and the affection that United fans have for me. It’s fantastic to feel that.

“But my focus is solely and exclusively on the present. The gift is Milan and helping the club to fulfil its goals and mine. It wouldn’t be professional to be otherwise.”
