The Norwegian star joined Dortmund in 2019 but is already linked with Europe's top clubs.
Having leftRed Bull Salzburg
, Erling Haaland joined
in January 2019 with a €20 million deal. The 20-year-old striker has scored 33 goals for the German side including 17 goals in the team’s current campaign in all competitions. After recovering from injury,
played in his team’s 2-0 victory against Wolfsburg but was not able to score. However, interim head coach Terzic is expected to include him in the team’s starting XI for their crucial match against RB Leipzig on Saturday. Since his move to Dortmund, Haaland has been linked with many top clubs includingReal Madrid
who are looking for a long-term solution to replace Karim Benzema. Manchester United and Manchester City are also linked with the player but Dortmund CEO
believes that Haaland will stay at Signal Iduna Park for at least one more season.
"I don't think that will happen. Erling and his advisor Mino Raiola know what they have in us. I can only advise him to do things like Robert Lewandowski.
"Haaland gave himself the time to mature into an absolute world-class player in Dortmund. You won't be able to do that in a year.
"Because it is clear that if Erling should leave us at some point, then he will only go to an even bigger club, and so many are not considered.
"If you join a club like - just for an example - Real Madrid, you have to be world-class."
