Prandelli: ‘we missed something upfront’

Sun 03 January 2021 | 19:59

Cesare Prandelli believes his side must be more effective and create more chances in front of the goal.

Fiorentina

were held to a goalless by

Bologna

at the Artemio Franchi.

“There were no spaces today, they didn’t concede many goal scoring opportunities. We played a good game, but we missed something upfront even if we recovered [Franck] Ribery,”

the Fiorentina coach said at a

press conference

.

“We play with a classic center-forward plus Ribery who is the support striker, midfielders must help, they didn't do it all the times today. Sometimes we struggled with counterattacks and in the final 20 minutes we could do more to be dangerous in the penalty area.

“[Christian] Kouame must make those movements, he did well. I am happy with his performance, we played a good game, we remained balanced."
