After paying a massive fee and hoping that he could be Ronaldo’s successor, Los Blancos were disappointed with Gareth Bale not playing up to their standards.
Before signingGareth Bale
were hoping that a player with a world-record fee like the Welshman could beCristiano Ronaldo
’s successor but after one season and his disappointing performance he proved to be nothing but a load of bad memories for the Whites.
Bale’s behaviour in La Liga had already brought Zinedine Zidane into frustration and after admitting to disliking the player on several occasions,Tottenham
were ready to offer the Welshman a fresh start but after seeing his fruitless efforts, the Spurs seem to have had enough with the player and maybe they are ready to send the Whites footballer back to Madrid.
, who believes Zidane was right about Bale, said:
“They need more from Gareth Bale to think beyond a top-four place. Bale has barely figured since his return and is injured again. After several years of complaints about unfair treatment from Real Madrid, we are yet to see the evidence that Zinedine Zidane was wrong.”
Bale’s current contract with Real Madrid extends to 2022 and with his unacceptable behavior the chances of any other club showing interest in him is very low.
