Sun 03 January 2021 | 18:14

Lazio head coach Simone Inzaghi is frustrated by their 1-1 stalemate against their host Genoa, ‘We deserved more.’

The Eagles

got in front with Immobile's penalty kick in the 15th minute but Mattia Destro leveled the game in the second half and Lazio were unable to secure a win.

"We played a great first half, we deserved to score one more goal,” sad the 44-year-old coach.

“In the second half they approached better than us and we conceded a goal that we could avoid. We’re disappointed, we wanted the three points.

“We made good performances in the last three games, it’s a pity we didn’t always collect the three points. Now we must focus on Fiorentina, a dangerous team. Today we had [Joaquin] Correa, [Mohamed] Fares and [Senad] Lulic out of action, they would have been useful.

“There is time to recover, right now the table doesn’t look good. If we keep playing like this it will improve.”

Lazio sits in 9th position in

Serie A

with 22 points out of 15 fixtures.
