Sun 03 January 2021 | 16:35

Pep speaks about the possibility of managing at an older age than he expected.

Pep Guardiola

is spending his fifth season with

Manchester City

He has already won two Premiership for the Premier League side and had an arguably successful period as the manager of the Citizens. Pep Guardiola was expected to win the Champions League with the blue side of Manchester but he has failed to reach it yet.

His plans in Manchester City looks serious as it is the longest time Pep has spent in a club. Pep says there are mountains to climb yet and he may retire older than he thought before.

“Of course I am better now, definitely. Experience helps you - especially the way I live my profession,”

the 49-year-old told City's official website.

“Before I thought I would retire soon, now maybe I am thinking I might retire older. 50 already, it is a nice age!

"So, in the Premier League, every game is so tough and it is better to be calm. The real Premier League, the people I spoke to before I landed here, said everyone can lose to everyone. I didn't see this until now.

"Now is the first time when I see in the Premier League, one team is able to lose or win seven, and after draw, and after lose. The results are unpredictable."
