Philippe Sanfourche believes PSG shouldn’t consider Sergio Ramos

Sergio Ramos's contract will expire in a few months and although he has been linked with Paris Saint-Germain, Philippe Sanfourche believes the club should not consider him for the next season.

The winter transfer window is now open and players with expiring contracts in June can agree to pre-contracts with a club for the next season and the most important one belongs to

Lionel Messi

as we all are waiting for his decision.

In

Real Madrid

also

Sergio Ramos

’ future is up in the air, as his contract is going to expire in a few months and he has not yet extended his deal with the club and although he has been linked with

Paris Saint-Germain

, French football expert

Philippe Sanfourche

believes the club should not bring him in.

“Two or three years ago, I probably would have said yes because the economic situation was not the same. We had less certainty about

Presnel Kimpembe

’s ability to raise his level. Today you have a

Marquinhos

-Kimpembe hinge, 26 and 25 years old. I think there are areas of play at PSG on which we can have more concerns,” Sanfourche said.

“You have to install them both overtime for it to gain momentum. If you’re bringing in Sergio Ramos at 35, it’s definitely not to put him in a rotation. It means that Kimpembe will go back to the bench. In addition, with the salary that Sergio Ramos represents. I think there is more need for investment in the midfield at PSG.”

Nevertheless, the play behind Marquinhos and Kimpembe falls when either Abdou Diallo or Thilo Kehrer is at center-back and that is the reason why some supporters did not like Thiago Silva’s departure. Therefore, if the club intend to bring Ramos in, it will come down to the salary and playing time that he wants.
