According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 39-year-old striker is close to a return to Sweden National Team

There are rumors that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is close to returning to the Sweden national team. Zlatan met with

Janne Andersson

last November to discuss his possible return to the national team.

"

We've spoken and he confirmed he's never accused me of being racist,

" Andersson told Swedish media, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"

If Zlatan opens the door, we'll talk. What we told each other must remain private

," he concluded.

The 39-year-old striker announced his retirement from international football in 2016.

Zlatan attacked

Andersson

back in September saying that leaving Juventus star Dejan Kulusevski on the bench was ‘an absolute joke.’

Ibrahimovic added: "I've spoken with the coach and I've explained him the situation.

"For 20 years I have paved the way for those who were not welcome: foreigners who had different origins. When he arrived he made different choices, closing the door to what I'd been doing for the previous 20 years. I didn't like it.

"I complained because Dejan [Kulusevski] had been left out of the staring XI. Juventus spent a lot of money for him, but he wasn't playing in the National Team. I miss Sweden, I could return if I feel well, but my presence should not disturb anyone. We'll see what happens when the right moment comes."
