The Spanish striker hopes that his team can continue the good run at the end of last year.

Rodrigo hopes that

Leeds

will perform well at the beginning of the new year, like the end of last year.

Leeds ended 2020 with two consecutive victories against Burnley and West Brom, the second game ending in a 5-0 win. These results moved Leeds to the top of the table. On Saturday, Bielsa side will have to face Tottenham and will have a difficult task ahead. Now, Rodrigo, whose whispers of separation from Leeds can also be heard, expressed hope that his team will continue the good trend of the end of 2020 at the beginning of 2021.

The Spain international told LUTV:

“We are trying to do our best this season. It’s true we’ve had different performances during the season, good and bad, but we want to maintain and keep our current level in the games.

“Two consecutive wins is important for us to grow, for our confidence and to achieve our goals.

“We want to maintain this level for the next game and try to win.”

Rodrigo, who scored in both games against West Brom and Burnley, added: “We didn’t stop, we scored the first goal and went for more and this is the mentality we have to have in these games."
