Gosens: ‘I would like a move to a top club in Germany’

has said that his main goal is to return to his homeland and play at a top club in the German

“I have always said that I would like a move to a top club in Germany,” Gosens said. “This doesn’t mean that I’m at Atalanta and in Bergamo against my will, nor that my farewell is imminent.

“But if a door opens, well, I would try to seize that opportunity.”

The 26-year-old left-back talked about his love for football and said that the business aspect of the sport is not his world.

“I love football, but the business around it is not my world,” he added. “There are many aspects of this business that I can’t identify myself with.

“It’s mainly about humanity, about empathy. I often have the feeling that we players are not seen as people, but objects with a price to pay.”

He has played 10 games in

Serie A

this season in which he was able to score three goals and provide two assists.
