The 30-year-old striker has met the back of the net early doors for his new side in a 3-0 victory over Salernitana on Wednesday.

Mario Balotelli

has pulled off a significant performance in his first debut for Monza, netting four minutes into the game against Salernitana.

The veteran striker has signed a contract with Monza this month until the end of the Serie B campaign.

Former AC Milan forward required only four minutes to help his new club take the lead and finish with a thumping 3-0 result. The 30-year-old’s agent Mino Raiola believed his client is set to play a crucial role in the club’s target for qualifying in the top flight. He also mentioned Adriano Galliani’s effect at Monza.

[Balotelli] can be fundamental for Monza,

" Raiola said. "

His potential is undisputed but he is behind in his preparations and we will do everything we can to get him in top condition

Having Balotelli sends out a signal that Monza do not want to play in Serie B for long. Galliani is a person I respect very much. Our friendship goes back to his time with Milan

Monza’s victory on Wednesday pulls them one step closer to Serie A football in the 2021-22 season. They are sitting third on the Serie B table at the moment, only two points behind the current titleholders Salernitana. Balotelli is preparing to show off another great display on Monday’s clash against Lecce.
