Etienne Capoue finishes Watford spell by joining Villarreal

Former France midfielder, Etienne Capoue has moved to Spanish team Villarreal for a confidential fee.

The 32-year-old playmaker, who moved in the Hornets from Tottenham for a then club-record transfer fee in 2015, has accepted a deal until June 2023 with the LaLiga club

, counting 11 times this term in the Sky Bet Championship following the team’s relegation from the Premier League, netting 14 goals.

, who got the last of his seven international caps seven years ago, started his profession with the French club, Toulouse before joining England to move in Hotspurs in 2013.
