Coronavirus positive tests lead to match postponement

Coronavirus outbreak in England has affected the time of the matches in this country.

Three players of

Manchester City

tested positive for coronavirus. This leads the clash with

Everton

to a late announcement of the match's call off.

Next Manchester city's match with

Chelsea

on Sunday was set to have the club tested of covid-19.

Two staff members,

Kyle Walker

and

Gabriel Jesus

are already in isolation as being tested positive.

Players and staff who were not in quarantine were driving to Etihad Campus to get tested on their card which results will be available on Wednesday.

However, this test will not be enough ass they will be tested again two more times before the match as there is no news of a possible postponement yet.

The clash between Manchester City and Everton is the second match to be canceled due to the outbreak of the virus.

The Premier League has announced the most number of infection cases since weekly testing has begun.

"The Premier League can today confirm that between Monday 21 December and Sunday 27 December, 1,479 players and club staff were tested for Covid-19," a statement released by the organization reads. 

"Of these, there were 18 new positive tests. Players or club staff who have tested positive will self-isolate for a period of 10 days.”
