Mario Balotelli could make his A.C. Monza debut tomorrow in Serie B after losing 5kg in 20 days on an accident diet. 'He should’ve done more in his career,' said former vice-chairman and CEO of A.C. Milan Adriano Galliani
The 30-year-old finished paperwork for Monza following a half year being clubless, having left
in the midst of friction in June.
He is in the playing squad for the upcoming importantSerie B
fixture against pioneers Salernitana, as Sport Mediaset declare SuperMario lost 5kg in only 20 days.
It's even indicated Balotelli needed to send chief Galliani – who previously worked with him at Milan – an image of his restroom scales each day to demonstrate his eating routine was on target.
“We hope his time at Monza will be a happy one, similar to at Milan in 2012-13,” Galliani said.
“He needs time, because he hasn’t played in an official game since March, but he’s working, losing weight and reducing the percentage of fat in his body. We’re getting Mario in shape.
“Watching him in training, you can tell he’s world class and should’ve done more in his career. It’s a pity he threw so many years away.”
