The nightmare returns: Gareth Bale injured again

Tue 29 December 2020 | 14:23

Tottenham's Welsh star Gareth Bale has been ruled out for a few weeks due to a calf injury.

Gareth Bale

was injured last week during

Tottenham

's EFL Cup win over

Stoke City

. Although at first it seemed that the Spurs’ Welsh star did not have a serious problem, but today Tottenham announced that they will not be able to use the player for a few weeks.

Gareth Bale

has suffered a calf injury and will likely miss Tottenham's next six games until 17 January.

When Tottenham boss,

Jose Mourinho

was asked about Bale’s situation, he replied:

“I don't expect Gareth to be fit. I wouldn't say it's a serious injury, but I would say a few weeks."

If this trend continues, Tottenham are unlikely to make Gareth Bale a permanent contract in the summer and he will probably have no choice but to return to

Real Madrid

. Gareth Bale has only scored once in the Premier League against

Brighton

in the last few months and has not had much of a chance to play in the Spurs' regular squad due to a number of injuries.

The Welsh star also missed many matches during his time at Real Madrid due to a series of injuries, and now this trend has continued in the Premier League.
