Courtois opened up about his relationship with Zidane

Real Madrid shot-stopper Thibaut Courtois has discussed how he persevered through a "distant" relationship with club manager Zinedine Zidane when he got back to the club

He realised it himself and we had a good conversation in the summer of 2019. Since then our relationship has grown and now it is very good.” said the Belgian goalkeeper.

Around then, Courtois was competing with Keylor Navas to be the number one goalkeeper in the club – while Zidane's child Luca was additionally in the senior team squad.
