Rangers should silence the doubters by winning a title - Davis
Rangers have failed to win the trophy for a decade
Steven Davis believes that until the
Rangerswin a big trophy, people will doubt the club's greatness.
The Rangers have lost just one game in the league so far this season, but their elimination from the Betfred Cup has raised many doubts about Steven Gerrard's side. They have tried to answer these doubts by winning against Motherwell and St. Johnston, but they have difficult games ahead of them. Now Davis claims that the Rangers must reach a grand title to silence their critics.
He said:
“We’re able to draw on the negative experiences and see whenever we’ve slipped up (and we now know) that you can’t afford to take your eye off the ball whatsoever.
“The quality we have throughout the squad and competition for places, everyone is desperate for the jersey and desperate to play and pushing each other in the right direction.
“It’s a combination of things, but…there’s still a lot of football to be played and a lot of challenges still going to be asked of us.
“And, until we actually have success as a group, then those questions will always be there, so it’s up to us to remain focused and keep pushing each other.”
