Ex-Real Madrid coach Solari set for a new job at Mexico

Previous Real Madrid manager Santiago Solari is on a waitlist to take over the Mexican club America, as per a report in Marca

The 44-year-old played as a half-back for Mexican club Atlante somewhere in the range of 2009 and 2010, so he is not unfamiliar with Liga MX. 

Solari has a moderately unpracticed managerial experience; he started coaching Real Madrid Castilla in the mid-year of 2016 preceding taking responsibility for the senior team in October 2018, when he supplanted Julen Lopetegui. 

Solari was unable to bring Los Blancos back on decisive winning form in

La Liga

and was additionally in control for eliminations from both Champions League – a 5-3 total misfortune against Ajax – and in the Copa del Rey, losing in the semi-final against Barcelona.

His only success was the winnig of 

FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2018

with Real Madrid, in a 4-1 win against Al-Ain.
