Campbell on Arsenal putting Bellerin for sale

The former Gunners believes the team should allow Bellerin exit their squad after suffering from inconsistency.

Ex-

Arsenal

star, Kevin Campbell, insists that the Gunners should consider selling the Spaniard,

Hector Bellerin

, claiming that it would be

“good business”

for the team. Bellerin, who started his career with Arsenal in 2013, has fallen prey for inconsistency due to his fitness struggles on the team.

Despite displaying a praiseworthy performance in their win against

Chelsea

, Bellerin’s future remains questioned with Arsenal.

Campbell

, who is aware of the transfer rumors revolving around the player’s move to

Barcelona

, said:

“Bellerin, by his own admission, has not been ripping trees up. He was getting exposed at times. Maitland-Niles really sured up the right-hand side when he came in earlier this month. The performances were a lot more solid, especially on that right-hand side.”

“There is a question to be asked of Bellerin and a lot of fans are asking it. Will the club sell him?”

“There is rumours of Barcelona’s interest. It is his boyhood club, the club he loves and maybe that would be a good bit of business.”

Former Gunners captain, Tony Adams, also criticized the player insisting that Bellerin should

“learn how to be a good defender”.

"You’ve got Cedric in from Southampton, what’s that recruitment going on? You need someone who is better than Hector,"

he said.

On Tuesday Bellerin joins Arsenal for their next match against

Brighton

.
