Roma are monitoring Frimpong and Hysaj

Sun 27 December 2020 | 13:00

It’s been reported that Roma’s options for a full-back aren’t limited to Dallas’ Bryan Reynolds as the Giallorossi are also monitoring Celtic’s Jeremie Frimpong and Napoli’s Elseid Hysaj.

Newly-appointed

Roma’s

general manager,

Tiago Pinto

, is reportedly hunting the options ahead of January’s transfer window as signing a fullback is among the former

Benfica’s

director’s priorities. A €7.5 bid for

Bryan Reynolds

has already been accepted by

FC Dallas

, but the club might avoid signing the-19-year-old as the player’s agent demands high commissions. They also might have face competitions from

Juventus

and

Club Burgges

for the American.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Giallorossi are also monitoring Celtic’s

Jeremie Frimpong

and Napoli’s

Elseid Hysaj

as alternatives. The Hoops want €10m to sell the 20-year-old with

Paulo Fonseca’s

agent,

Marco Abreu

, is already holding talks with the Scottish club.

Meanwhile,

Elseid Hysaj

is expected to leave Napoli as a free agent at the end of his contract next summer and as reported by La Gazzetta, Roma are considering signing him as a free agent or in the January transfer window for a low fee.

Rennes’ Brandon Soppy

and

Zurich’s

Becir Omeragic

, who are both 18, are another two defenders linked with a move to the Stadio Olimpico.

Milan

is also interested in signing

Omeragic

.
