The German striker continues to fail in the Chelsea blue shirt.

Chelsea

striker Timo Werner has continued failing to score record to ten consecutive games by failing to score against Arsenal.

The German striker was replaced by Frank Lampard between the two halves, thus continuing his failure to score goals.

After 12 games between March and September 2016, he failed to score in Stuttgart and Leipzig. The current period he is through is the longest period of his failure to score. Werner against Arsenal did not even manage to shoot at the opponent's goal and touched the ball only twice in the opponent's penalty area.

Chelsea bought Werner from Leipzig for £47.5 million in the summer, and he has scored four goals in 15 Premier League games. His last goal dates back to November 7 and Chelsea's 4-1 victory over Sheffield United. Lampard, however, defended him after the game, claiming that Werner had troubled his opponent.
