PSG boss believes that his team’s defender has been unfairly excluded from the FIFA awards.

PSG captain

returned to his team’s squad in their goalless draw against

after recovering from injury. Having won a domestic treble with PSG, the Brazillian was expected to be included in FIFA’s team of the year but was excluded ultimately.

Thomas Tuchel

believes that the 26-year-old deserved to be included in the World XI presented by FIFA as his performance against Lille showed his high-quality.

"Tonight, Marquinhos is Ballon d'Or level,

"I don't understand his absence in the FIFA XI of the year."

Tuchel’s team is facing an injury crisis as his team was hit by three more injuries in their game against Lille. Presnel Kimpembe, Alessandro Florenzi, and Layvin Kurzawa were added to a list of other injured players including Neymar, Mauro Icardi, Juan Bernat, and Mbappe who wasn’t used in the starting XI because of fitness problems.

"You already know my opinion, we are going to kill the players,"

Tuchel told

"We are always allowed to play at nine o'clock [in the evening]. We lack the rhythm to eat, sleep, recover. But it will continue like this.

"Today, we miss Neymar, Kylian, Mauro, Juan [Bernat]. Are we surprised? No. Three new players are injured now. Well done."
