until July. He was heavily linked with
Leeds Unitedbut eventually, it was the German side who won the battle. Leeds apparently made a great offer for Gyradiol but he decided to join RB Leipzig as it is believed that he is a future star for the club.
Gvardiol ultimately elected to ignore that, though and has explained why he made the decision in a recent chat with Index.
“Leeds’ offer was also very, very good,”
he said.
“But it was decided that Leipzig was a better option for the development of young players.
“An agreement was also reached that I could stay at Dinamo, so everything turned out great.
“I was under pressure while I was dealing with the transfer this summer. After I solved it, I don’t bother with any stories or what is being written.”
