Ronaldo will earn a salary as the club’s president
Former Real Madrid and Barcelona star, Ronaldo Nazario, took majority control of Real Valladolid in September 2018 by buying 51% stake of the club for €30m.
The club has decided to give
Ronaldo
a salary as the club’s president during a shareholders’ meeting this week, the amount of his salary hasn’t been revealed.
In addition to Ronaldo’s salary, a reported surplus of over €9m this year will be awarded to the club due to the current Covid crisis.
Another issue that was discussed in the meeting was the restructuring of the board of directors, with
Carlos Suarez
, being replaced by
David Espinar
as the club’s director. However, Suarez will remain the club’s honorary president.
