Neymar injury not as bad as first feared

PSG star has received positive scan results after his injury in his team’s weekend clash against Lyon.

which ended in a 1-0 defeat for Tuchel’s team. The Brazilian got injured after a strong challenge by Thiago Mendes who was given a red card after the scene was reviewed by VAR. There were speculations that the Brazilian might have suffered from a broken ankle but PSG’s medical staff has revealed that the player’s injury is not as bad as it was first feared. The scan results show that the 28-year-old has avoided a serious fracture and has only sustained an ankle sprain. "The medical examinations carried out on Neymar Jr are reassuring following his twisted ankle in Sunday's game against Lyon. Further examinations will be carried out in 48 hours.

"Abdou Diallo suffered a hamstring lesion in Sunday's game and will return to competition in early January."

PSG will play their next Ligue 1 game against Lorient on Wednesday before facing the table leaders
