Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers hailed James Maddison’s fantastic performance in Foxes 3-0 win over Brighton.
The 24-year-old put up a great show on Sunday with a brace against Brighton as Foxes moved atop to the third place in the Premier League standings, trailing the leaders with only one point difference.
“He’s got immense quality. You saw his right foot at Manchester City, he has that technique with both feet. That was a sensational strike tonight,”
said Foxes boss Rodgers
“We left him out in midweek with a grumble in his knee but he has shown a desire to play and he showed his quality again tonight.
“He’s a great player with such talent who cares about his progression and he has had a difficult week in terms of his injury. He’s one of the biggest talents in the country and you saw that tonight.”
Brendan Rodgers ruled out the idea of being in another challenge for the Premier League title this season.
“No, not really,” said Rodgers. “It is not something we are thinking about, we are just enjoying our football. We will move up and down the league, I think. The league is changing all the time and we are just thinking about ourselves and performing well.
“We won’t always be at our best but we are always honest and the players have given absolutely everything tonight and I am delighted with the result.”
