Kingsley Coman was linked with Manchester United in the summer transfer window but Bayern doesn’t want to allow a move.

Kingsley Coman

started the new season in spectacular form after scoring the winning goal of the last season’s

Champions League

final against his former team PSG. The French winger has become a key player in Hansi Flick’s team and has managed to score five goals and provide eight assists in his 13 appearances for the club this season. Coman’s performance in

Bayern

’s Saturday clash against

Union Berlin

was crucial as his pass to Lewandowski led to a crucial equalizer for the Bavarians. The 24-year-old was heavily linked with Manchester United in the summer transfer window but he ended up staying at his German club. In a recent interview with Kicker, Bayern’s CEO

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge

has praised the player and also insisted that he is not a sale option for his club.

"Kingsley is an absolute top player today, and is extremely valuable for FC Bayern.

"He often makes the difference, just when it counts the most. Kingsley is not for sale."

Coman has struggled with serious injuries during the last 2-3 seasons but Rummenigge says he has backed the player to come back to his best form.

"I hugged him and told him that injuries are part of the game, especially in modern football and that our medical department would do everything to ensure that he would soon be back on the field in top shape.

"Fortunately, that's how it turned out."

Bayern will play their next Bundesliga match against

Wolfsburg

on Wednesday as they try to regain their position at the top of the league table.
