The English defender couldn't accompany his team in the second half.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that defender

Joel Matip

's injury is not severe.

Matip suffered a back injury during the match against Fulham and could not accompany his team in the second half. Klopp confirmed during the post-match press conference that the English defender had been treated so that he would have no problem for Wednesday's game against Tottenham. Of course, the

Liverpool

coach is not sure that Matip will accompany his team in this match, but he confirmed that the defender's injury is not serious either.

“Joel Matip has a spasm in his back,”

Klopp said.

“We will see. In the moment, nothing else.

“He already got treatment, will get treatment and we will see.

“I think there’s a chance for Wednesday. [It’s not that bad] in the moment, no.”

After Metip left the pitch, Henderson became Fabinio's partner in defense, and the two did not have much difficulty together in the second half. However, against Mourinho and in the presence of Harry Kane and Son, Henderson and Fabinho will have a tough job, and the club must have a particular plan to hold the Spurs strikers.
