CEO Guido Fienga believes players do not deserve to be criticized on a human level and demands respect for the players.
Roma have not won any of their last three games in all competitions and as they had already won theirEuropa League
, their Thursday defeat againstCSKA Sofia
had no consequences for them.
“We are firmly convinced of the moral and ethical qualities of this group,” Fienga said.
“We have some really strong players, some champions, and some young players who are trying to become champions. We are aware that we made mistakes against Napoli, but we were unlucky against Sassuolo.
“Nobody wants excuses and we’d like to have more respect for this group, to preserve it from attacks.
“I accept criticisms about performances, but players do not deserve to be criticized on a human level or for their behavior.”
