Milanese after his first goal for AS Roma: 'An unforgettable evening'

Tommaso Milanese found the net for the first time in his senior experience with AS Roma in the Giallorossi's loss against CSKA Sofia and uncovered what Paulo Fonseca had let him know before the match

The 18-year-old midfielder leveled the match for the

Giallorossi

following his 22 minutes' goal, yet in the end, Roma lost the game.

Paulo Sousa's team had already won their first spot in the

Europa League

group table.

“It was an unforgettable evening, I am happy even if things could go even better, I am satisfied,” Milanese told Sky Sport.

“I used to play as an attacking midfielder or support striker, but I can play where the coach wants, I always try to give my best for the team.

“Before the game, the mister kept telling me: ‘You need to play as you know’, and the same did my teammates, they tried to calm me down. I only needed to relax and play.”

Milanese had just played two Europa League games with Roma yet the game against CSKA Sofia was his first game to be in the starting XI.
