The Norwegian star has performed very well this season and has been the most effective player on his team.
Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has confirmed that Erling Haaland will travel to Qatar for rehabilitation
Haaland was not included in Dortmund's squad for the match against Lazio, and the club announced that the Norwegian striker did not make it due to a hamstring injury. His absence was felt and Dortmund were held to a 1-1 draw by Lazio and Eintracht Frankfurt. Zorc has now confirmed that Haaland has traveled to Qatar for treatment.
"He is surrounded by experts, it was his wish. He is in contact with us,"
Zorc told reporters.
"That's why we agreed in the end. The first progress has already been made. He also adheres to the [coronavirus] hygiene rules there."
Haaland has scored 10 goals in 17 games for Dortmund this season, including six in the Champions League and 10 in the Bundesliga.
